Much Ado About Nothing

So on Monday, in English class we started to read the book Much Ado About Nothing by Shakespeare. When I first read it, I couldnt understand anything because of the language. But the next day we read the first act in class, I understand it a little more. So the story takes place in Italy, and some men just came back from war. A men named Claudio fell in love at first sight with a girl named Hero, and then there's another guy named Benedick, he doesnt believe in marriage and constantly fights with Hero's cousin Beatrice. So thats what quite understand from Act 1 Scene 1. After reading it in groups in class, we watched the first 10 minutes of the movie. The movie made me completely understand the story. I think, I can understand more because I can understand through their acting even though the lines are exactly the same as the book. I hope on Friday we can continue watching the movie.

The Royal Baby

On Monday afternoon, the Duchess of Cambridge and the wife of Prince William, Kate Middleton, gave birth to a baby boy. She was in the early stages of labor since Monday morning, and had been admitted to St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington. The baby still unnamed, weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces. Buckingham Palace announced the birth in both ways traditional and modern. A piece of paper was signed by the royal doctors, announced that Kate safely delivered a baby boy. However the palace announced the birth in a modern way, through news. Some people that are very curious to find out about the royal baby, gathered at the hospital, and at Buckingham Palace. Reporters are now still speculating about the baby's name, but until now nobody outside the palace knows anything about this.

My First English Class

Friday was my first english class, since I started high school. Everything is still very new to me, new school, new class, new teachers, and new friends.

My english teacher's name is Jon, and at first I was confused why my classmates addressed him only as Jon, and not Mr. Jon. Then I asked some of my new friends why everyone in class only calls him as Jon, they said that he doesn't want to be called Mr. Jon. I still don't really understand the reason though.

Our english class had so many people, compared to the other english class, so the class was pretty crowded. We started class by doing an activity outside class, we had to arrange ourselves according to name and height, it was kind of random.

After that we went back inside and Jon explained to us about the IGCSE test, I'm still not sure about this test, but I hope i can understand it more later on. The first thing we learned about on Friday was how how to summarise a passage or text.

Our homework is to make a blog, and I think a lot of people in my class already made a blog since friday, They're so diligent...

Anyway I need to go now so bye ^^
